Hi, my name is Annie Budd.  I wear a UK size 9 and I am 180cm (5 feet 9) tall. 

I run my own recruitment business where I operate from the UK placing candidates from London to Hong Kong!

My personal style is smart casual with the occasional clashing colour or print! I like to keep myself entertained when I look in the mirror!!

What’s the biggest misconception about women who wear larger sized shoes? 

They must want to wear ugly, flat shoes all the time. No, no, no! My 6’1” tall Mother always said; “Wear the heels; if you are going to be tall, BE TALL AND BE PROUD!”

What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done to fit in a pair of shoes?

I am embarrassed to say I have most definitely used baby oil to grease my foot in the hope it would slide into the shoe more easily…I may or may not have also once cut the back of a shoe so that it fit better. I was wearing long trousers so I thought it was ok…it was not.

What’s the dumbest and most tall shaming comment anyone’s ever made about your height/shoe size?

That being tall makes me more masculine and less attractive. Honestly, such a ridiculous statement!

What are your favourite Sante + Wade shoes?

I adore the ADANNA sandal. It is elegant, stylish, has a heel that is high enough to make you feel empowered without feeling like there is the possibility of breaking ones ankle. I absolutely love the colour pallet the shoe comes in and see them as a summer staple to wear both to the office and out socially.
